Memories of Busan

It was right around this time 2010 that we were in Busan for a long weekend, and I really wished that I was there today. So in memory, I posted a few previously unpublished photos from our day of following a trail of two cities: from the Haeundae (해운대) resort area, and around the bend through a marina to the beautiful (and bustling) Gwangalli Beach (광안리). Probably would have been quicker to just take a cab. Ahhhhh, the good times. May they last forever.

  1. Your memories of Busan brings to mind a particular tale of intrigue that is my own. After the birth of China’s first watch in 1955 Tianjin, the enterprise of manufacturing quality Rolex reproductions was proclaimed. This was a record breaking milestone in the industry of the Chinese watch making. At the same time, the original Tianjin watch company, Seagull, joined up with an exporter from Hong Kong. And so began the flood of Chinese-made replica watches onto foreign markets. Today, Seagull watches are still the country’s only state-owned brands.
